Join Curawaka for a magical ceremonial concert with Medicine Music, Prayer, Sacred Song and Dance. Open your Heart & Lift your Spirit!
Join us for an unforgettable concert experience that blends elements from indigenous traditions, traditional Latin American folk rhythms, and soaring melodies from Scandinavian folklore.
Curawaka is the musical group that has captured the hearts of millions of listeners worldwide. Pioneers of the genre “medicine music”, musicians Anna Bariyani, Tavo Vazquez, Alberto Arroyo and Dario Santamaria Romero – have all walked a path of prayer for decades and have all studied and learned from various indigenous peoples across the globe. Their songs celebrate the infinite beauty and sacredness of life, carrying a message of hope, trust, unity and joy in a time when the world yearns for reconnection and authenticity.
“All ancient cultures have prophesized that time would come when the human family would unite and rise up to defend the sacred life on Earth. That time is now.
- Anna Bariyani
May their sacred ceremonial music and the deeply touching prayers open your hearts and deeply nourish your soul!
and instrumentation from Ireland. Aisling Urwin, born and raised in Co. Kerry, Ireland, guides one into otherworldly realms on the Irish harp while Ajeet dances through her intricate soundscape with deep and rich percussion on her Bodhrán and playful breathy strokes of melody with the low whistle. Ajeet’s integral love of folk traditions has lead her to study traditional song and instrumentation in India, Central and South America, and her own ancestral land and home country of Ireland. These deep rooted traditional influences weave with her own unique softness to offer an unexpected and transporting musical dream for the listener.

About Curawaka
Curawaka is a musical contribution to the great shift we are living through in these times. Comprised of members Anna Bariyani, Tavo Vazquez, Alberto Arroyo and Dario Santamaria Romero, the band’s nationalities span Norway, Argentina and Mexico, with the rich musical culture of each of their heritage shining brightly through all of the songs they perform and compose.
Having each spent extended periods of time sitting amongst and learning from wise indigenous elders in the jungles and forests of the world, their music offers interpretations of sacred chants and songs, shared with the blessing of the nations they honour, along with original music made to honour Mother Earth and anchor and guide her people through their lives. Their 2018 album Call of the Wild featured much loved songs such Noku Mana and Te Nande, arriving to huge acclaim and having since been a constant musical presence in countless people’s lives.
The establishment of the Curawaka Alliance Fund at this time guides profits back to indigenous projects linked to elements of this music. In 2023 Curawaka released their incredible second album, Dreamtime, a musical journey that took in several languages and drew heavily from the bands own individual influences. The album showcases the richness of each members talent and passion, with all ten deeply evocative songs provoking introspection and always bringing the listener back to their humanity and inner light.
Curawaka’s music is, at it’s core, a response to the calling to share the real and the wild, the true and good and sacred.
Incorporating many instruments on stage, including flutes, guitars, charangos, percussion and beyond, Curawaka’s ability to replicate the sounds of the pure force of nature and the heartbeat of the Earth as they play is a mesmerising experience. With concerts lasting up to three hours, their live offering becomes a ceremony of its own. Performed with the deepest integrity and the heartfelt desire for humanity to rise rooted, to sing and dance in ultimate truth and to leave the space inspired, invigorated and wholly alive.
